Join me for evening of new music and covers at Oak Road Brewery

My passion to connect with people through music is the same, but a lot has changed in two years.
After 20 years of being a gigging musician, I never thought I'd say this: "I have my first public gig in over two years coming up!" I'll be playing from 7 - 9 P.M. on Saturday, September 3, atOak Road Breweryin Summerville.
Back in 2020, I had a CD release show atPawleys Island Brewing. It was a blast... some friends formed a band with me for the day, and we had a good crowd come out for the fun. Two weeks later, everything shut down. I cancelled my upcoming concerts and spent the better part of two years isolating in solidarity with a high-risk family member. I played for some private events occasionally, but nothing public until now.
After two years away from public events, I'm ready to share all that's been brewing.
My passion to connect with people through music is the same, but a lot has changed in two years. My sister (who used to provide percussion and vocal harmonies) has moved out of state. My friends who played with me are either busy or have moved away. My music tastes have evolved, and I've been growing musically. I'm starting to play and write with more soul... something I've always had in me but am figuring out how to let out even more. I've written seven new songs and keep falling in love with new covers to learn.
If you come hang out on September 3, you'll hear me jamming out by myself with a looper, an SDrum pedal and a voice full of love. After two years away from public events, I'm ready to share all that's been brewing. I like it, and maybe you will too.
